Evidence-led CV builder

Build your CV from what you've actually done.

Look At You Go's CV Builder starts from your existing CV and the achievements you have recorded over time, then tailors them to a specific job advert. It shows why each line matches the role, flags gaps and asks you questions rather than filling them in. It never invents figures, employers, dates or qualifications.

Why most CVs undersell the person

A CV written from memory lists duties, not results. "Responsible for stakeholder management" tells a recruiter what the job was, not what you achieved in it.

Generic AI CV tools make it worse in a different way: they add confident figures and buzzwords you cannot defend at interview.

How the CV Builder works

It treats your current CV as the factual spine and your recorded evidence as the detail. Three steps.

  1. 01Upload or paste your current CV. Your employers, titles and dates are kept exactly as they are.
  2. 02Paste the job advert. The builder picks out what the role asks for and matches it to your recorded evidence.
  3. 03Review a tailored draft with the reason behind each line, answer any follow-up questions, then export a clean PDF or Word file.

From a loose note to evidence

Each entry is shaped around Context, Action, Impact and Proof: what was happening, what you did, what changed and what backs it up. Nothing is added that you did not say.

Before

Managed social media channels.

After

Rebuilt the organisation's LinkedIn content plan and ran it weekly for 12 months, taking followers from 4,100 to 9,800. (Figures taken from your recorded entry, not estimated.)

Before

Involved in the office move.

After

Coordinated the relocation of a 60-person team to a new site over one weekend, with all desks and systems working on Monday morning.

Why weekly tracking makes a better CV

The strongest CV lines come from specifics that are easy to forget: the number, the date, the name of the project. Recording them weekly in Look At You Go means that when you apply for a role, the CV Builder has real material to draw on rather than a blank page.

Private, and yours to keep

Your record is private to your account. There is no manager view and no team dashboard, and your employer cannot read it. You can export or delete everything at any time.

How AI is used

AI helps structure what you record and asks a follow-up when something is vague. It does not invent numbers, dates, employers or achievements, and anything it drafts is labelled so you can check it. How we use AI.

Pricing

The CV Builder is part of a paid subscription at £5 a month or £49 a year. It is not included in the 14-day free trial. Recording your achievements is free.

Questions

Will it make things up to improve my CV?
No. It will not add metrics, dates, employers, job titles, budgets, team sizes or qualifications you have not provided. If something would strengthen a line, it asks you instead.
Is the CV ATS friendly?
The templates use a simple single-column structure with standard headings and selectable text, which applicant tracking systems read reliably.
Can I keep one master CV and tailored versions?
Yes. You keep a master CV and create tailored versions for individual roles, each saved separately.
Does the exported file contain Look At You Go branding?
No. Exports contain your CV only, with no branding or hidden metadata.

You did the work. Keep the evidence.
